Honor your menstrual cycle with these lavender biscuits

I share you this time this recipe with différent versions, but with same star the Lavander.

Lavender is a plant with relaxing and soothing properties. It helps reduce stress, anxiety and promotes restful sleep. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Is a natural antidepressant, improves mood and relieves anxiety.

In addition its color, transmits calm through the eyes and it is really beautiful. If you have lavender plants in your garden enjoy its use in different culinary preparations, herbal teas, homemade natural deodorant, etc.

Today during my morning gardening, I cut some lavender flowers to dry, but I took the opportunity to make a small snack with it. I normally do not eat snacks, except those days when my period approaches; in addition this craving for sugar gave me the opportunity to know my cycle and behavioral changes during.

Why do we crave for sweet before the having our period?

There are several factors; at the hormonal level, in this phase the level of progesterone increases and estrogen fluctuates this phenomenon causes sweet cravings. Also, serotonin levels decrease and affect mood, so eating sweet temporarily stimulates serotonin and make us happier. Cortisol, invites himself from time to time to the party if in addition we are stressed or anxious, so the fact of eating sweet sends us back joy and gives us emotional comfort. It is quite normal that the body spends more energy during this phase, so normal to need more food intake.

The benefit of knowing your eating behavior during your cycle gives you control over what you eat. Allows you to eat small pleasures without guilt and the main thing is that it represents the acceptance of your body, its changes and needs.
